A weekly hours calculator adds up seven days of work time into one total. This free weekly hours calculator gives you two ways to enter each day: type the hours and minutes directly, or switch to clock in and clock out times and let the calculator work out each day's length for you.
Use whichever mode matches how you track time. If you already know a day was "7 hours 30 minutes," the hours-and-minutes mode is faster. If you only know when a shift started and ended, the clock-time mode does the subtraction for you, including overnight shifts.
Example: Monday through Friday at 8 hours a day comes to 40 hours for the week, with a daily average of 5 hours 42 minutes across all seven days (since Saturday and Sunday count as zero unless you fill them in). Mix in a shorter Friday of 6 hours and the weekly hours calculator for work adjusts the total and the average automatically.
This total weekly hours calculator does not apply breaks or overtime on its own — it is built purely to add up hours worked. For break deductions, use the Break Calculator; for an overtime and pay split, use the Overtime Calculator or Payroll Calculator.
