Every number produced by a Hourlyfy calculator is an estimate based only on the values you enter. These tools don't know your local labor law, your company's specific overtime policy, your tax situation, or any collective bargaining agreement that might apply to you.
There is no statutory overtime rate in the UK — whether overtime is paid, and at what rate, is set by your employment contract, not by law. The only legal floor is that your average pay must not fall below the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage. Workers are entitled to an uninterrupted 20-minute rest break when working more than 6 hours a day, though whether that break is paid also depends on your contract. Estimates only. Not legal, tax, or payroll advice.
Before using a calculator's result for an actual payslip, timesheet submission, or compliance decision, confirm it against your employer's policies, your payroll provider, or a qualified accountant, payroll professional, or employment lawyer.
Where a calculator suggests a default — such as a 40-hour regular-hours threshold or a 1.5× overtime multiplier — that default is a common convention, not a legal requirement in your jurisdiction. Always adjust it to match the rules that actually apply to you.
Hourlyfy and its creators aren't liable for decisions made, or outcomes that result from, relying on these calculators. Use them as a fast starting point, not a final authority.
